Rotorua Rowing Club Inc (RRC) membership is open to anyone in the Rotorua District. The club offers all aspects of rowing from secondary school rowing to masters and para rowing. There is a learn to row programme run in late summer.
We have around 40 members (aged 11-86 years), with 50/50 ratio between masters rowers and school age and club rowers. Students are welcome from all secondary schools in Rotorua. Our central waterfront location enables school students, to complete morning training before a short walk or ride to school from the club. Likewise, rowers can walk to RRC after school for erg training at any time. RRC facilitates a number of regattas each year - the largest being the Blue Lake Regatta - which brings 3000-4000 people to Rotorua each year. About 4,000 volunteer hours are given annually to facilitate RRC programmes, through coaching, regattas and administration.
